Yikes, that looks like a 10 hour drive!

10 hours is nothing, I make those kind of drives all the time for derby events, and would drive that in a heartbeat for a fully working A4000.  The problem is, as always, coming up with funds to purchase said A4000, LOL.  ;)

In any case, a local seller/buyer is always preferable to shipping these old machines.  Best of luck finding it a good home!  :)

And the Amiga has been traded for an Apple IIe setup. I found someone in Atlanta over at AtariAge that was interested. Thanks to everyone who expressed interest.

Since you're the expert, what does a good working Apple IIe setup go for these days?  Are they really up to the same value as an A4000?  Crazy!  I've occasionally thought about going after an old IIGS, had some school memories of those, but they seemed out of my price range the couple times I checked.

Well here's what I got for the Amiga,

The guy I traded with was also nice enough to burn a couple of discs with some games and ATDPro to get me started. I guess it's lucky he was local, I don't even want to think about what it would have cost to have all this shipped.

DHO! damn you traded an 040 A4000 in good operating & mechanical shape for an Apple product that can't even touch a C64:shocked:

I know different strokes for different folks et all but damn I've got a Vic20 to trade if you ever get another A4000 ok:)
