Just bought 7000 CD's of unknown software :S
« on: August 29, 2013, 11:49:21 AM »
Hello all, a few days ago I found a quite big collection of CD's filled with software in a old local publisher warehouse, I spoke to the owner and declared interest in all old software and said and done I bought over 7000 CD's without knowing the lots contents.

Packed it all on a trailer and took it home, I still haven't looked at the contents much yet but the old owner said there should be some Amiga software there aswell :)

So today im spending the entire day unpacking and organizing this mess (I bet more then one day) in hopes to find some Amiga software :)

Hold your thumbs that I get lucky to find something of interest, if I find little or nothing of interest at least I got jewel cases for the rest of my life and someone here might come up with something fun to do with 7k cd's ;)

Or AOL CDs ! :)

I don't know if my wife would let me buy and store 7000 CD in the garage.
But, I hope you find something worthwhile and if you don't, then maybe you can recover your investment by selling empty CD cases.

Hope you can find something useful and nice, for Amigas and not only (there's some good old software out there, for PCs also! :-D  ).
Anyway a suggestion: if the majority of those CDs are useless (eg. AOL, Internet service provider CDs, etc.) you can easily use them for making a special room "painting", filling walls and ceiling with them!
Just an idea I got some years ago, when I got some tenths of old Windows CDs for free... but they were a few.
BY!

Well if the CDs are in original packaging it doesn't take much to check contents.

Whoa!  Is it retail-packaged software, or just discs in jewel cases?
