Workshop tools help.
« on: August 01, 2013, 10:06:24 PM »
Well it's that time of the year to clean up our workshop, but this time I want to do a dedicated corner for Amiga and other hardware work since my space inside is to crammed and getting hard to do real work in.

This is my place, behind the tractor I will put the workbench (quite in need for the yearly cleaning ;).

Oh, and well cars are my second interest beside Amiga/computers/tech if you haven't figured that out ;).

So I need some tips what to get, I am doing one part for soldering/electronics/testing etc and one part for working with plastic/metal.

I got what I need for the electronics part of the table, I already got everything I need from oscilloscopes to all kinds of soldering irons etc so what I need help with is what to set up on the metal/plastic working part, tips of what you people use.

I got a 6x1m (19,5x3,1ft) workbench to use and the electronics part will have a big dust cover to keep it clean when I work on cars etc.

The workbench will be places behind the tractor as soon as im done with it (currently it's split in two to change the clutch disc/plate).

What I got (bare with me I have a hard time translating a lot of tools to english) is a stationary bench "grinder", angle grinder, dremel, vise/vice?.
Besides that I got all tools needed when working with cars, I also got a metal lathe and a metal cutting machine for up to 6cm (2,4") iron pieces.

I got a lot more tools but hard to figure out english names on em all :/

So what should I get, what do you guys use when modifying hardware, plastic/metal etc, give me tips.

Appreciate help!
