Amiga - Rasberry Pi
« on: July 27, 2013, 01:01:52 PM »
Just wondering if anyone has managed to get Amiga OS running on Rasberry Pi..
I'm very interested in playing around with this little toy computer and there is a lot of interest in Risc OS (Acorn), as well Linux Wheezy,Arch Arm and emulation.
Would be great to see Amiga OS join Rasberry Pi community as a low budget computer.

Amiga OS on Pi??? Absolutely out of the question cause simply the amiga lads either design/produce their own hardware or they have it run on previously produced and amiga dedicated hardware like A1 and SAM. The Pi is a really interesting piece of hardware that lets you run RiscOS, Linux and AROS (in a way).
Vampirized A500....one hell of a classic

There is AEROS Beta for Pi, but you need to buy something/ donate at ARES Webshop to be able to download it. And that is as much as it is possible of your idea.

There are, as usual, two flavours of AROS on the Raspberry Pi. The Linux hosted flavour, which is promoted on here as AEROS, and native flavour which I prefer but doesn't have any USB drivers yet so no mouse and keyboard support yet :) :)

I have Raspberry Pi. I be waiting  for AEROS to be out of beta. I need to get a power chord for mine.
