WTB: Picasso IV and/or Concierto module
« on: July 19, 2013, 05:33:32 AM »
I've already got a PIV myself and the only way it's leaving me is from my cold dead hands, but a friend of mine is looking to buy one.

Anyone got one for sale? Ideally located in the USA to save on shipping and import taxes but not essential.

Also a Concierto soundcard module for the PIV too if possible.

PM  me with price and details please.

Edit: Could a mod please change the subject header of this post to "WTB: Picasso IV and/or Concierto module"? Thanks.

This is exactly why they are hard to come by and expensive when found.

When these cards were new, only a few were made and were sold to the folks willing to spend money at the time. As the years passed, everyone can to realize how good these cards were... and said " ****, why didn't I buy it back when"

Now it's a limit of... there's only a few and everyone wants one.

I have one too, It's in my 4000 and why should I give it up, unless it's for a lot of money because, IF I sold it, I COULD NOT replace it!!!

If someone does have one that they don't use then please consider selling it to someone that will make heavy use of it.

Kind of funny your org post i gotta say. self contradicting. Your "friend" isnt going to be able to find one probably because between hoarders and power users almost impossible to get one.

Your friend would be MUCH better off getting a used Mediator or Prometheus and using a Soundblaster card and a much better video card chipset for a lot less money.

Even with the Mediator/graphics card setup you still lack the scan doubler and flicker fixer of the PIV, correct? So you would need a solution for that too. OK, I'll bite. I have an extra PIV with unbroken FF that I bought new as a spare years ago. Currently it's in my A4000T. What are they worth these days either in $ or trade value?

Do Mediators work on A2000's? I thought they were only for A1200 and A4000.

He has an A2000 so the SD/FF part of the PIV would have to be snapped off to fit properly.

I got told recently my PIV was worth about $250-300 dollars.

I can PM you his details if you are interested in selling it?

Why the quotes around "friend"? I don't tell lies mister, don't project your own guilt on me thank you.

And since when did I live in the US? Not that they would even let me past customs, but I'd rather have my finger nails pulled out that visit the USA.

Which is kinda ironic because that's probably what they would do to me upon arrival. ;)

My friend is actually a long standing member of this forum btw.

Yeah that's why I won't sell him mine because I use mine and wouldn't be able to ever replace it.

Maybe if I saw a CV643D going cheap I would but that's not likely.
