I use the same Mastercard without problems with both IDE and SCSI.

What kind of disc do you use? Does the problem also occur without disc?

When you use HDTool did you change device name to Masoboshi? Pay attention because it is case sensitive. In my case the device name is actually MASOBOSHI.device.

I tested both IDE, and SCSI HDD.
In the Autoboot computer will not start.

When Autoboot off, the computer starts, but no in HDTool masoboshi.device. Memory is added.

In HDToolbox did you change the SCSI_DEVICE_NAME?

You should changed it into something like SCSI_DEVICE_NAME=MASOBOSHI.device in order to see it.

Rename scsi.device into MASOBOSHI.device as hese7 already instructed you.

It seems to me, the on board is not the original ROM (I bought board at the Ebay).
Any ideas?

When autoboot is off, you could try to boot the computer from the Masoboshi install disk.
The disk contains a file (Expansion/MMC) that loads the Masoboshi driver to memory when Binddrivers is called during startup.

You can get a list of loaded device drives by running SysInfo and clicking the Libraries/Devices/... gadget.
Is the Masoboshi driver on the list?

@aquapuls

Its quite likely that the AutoBoot ROM is garbled and requires either re-programming or replacing.

You can find the BootROM on the install disk of the adaptor.  you can use this a bin image and program the another 27c256 (it maybe a 27c128) just an educated guess.

Sadly I cannot log-onto amiga.resource.cx to confirm that .
