That very nonstandard D-sub 23-pin connector measurements?
« on: June 21, 2013, 06:50:37 PM »
It's used for the Amiga video port and the floppy port. But does anyone have the exact measurements for the real connector as it seems most distributors have quited selling them ..?

The measurements at the datasheet, bottom of page 2 for the socket-female variant. But for the 23-pin would be useful:
mouser.com/../CatPg78-79-25421.pdf

In particular the measurements for the 23-pin at (A) (B) (C) using a caliper with mm scale would be nice.

[mm - millimeter]
For DB25: A=38.38 B=47.04 C=53.04 D=41.10
For DA15: A=24.66 B=33.32 C=39.14 D=27.70

Hi,

Let me make it simple for ya all, get a db25 connector (you can buy one at radio shack) turn it so you are looking at the pin holes, then using a hack saw cut off off the last upper and bottom pin on the right side. I have done it about 3 times already, works like a charm.

I have no idea what your talking about, so here is a doggy with a small pancake on his head.

MorphOS is a MAC done a little better

My bet is on a cutting wheel of a Dremel tool. ;)

It's been successful, but, ordering the real deal (see Mech's post) produces better results.

I know it works, but it won't give the geometry accordning to standard.

But I do have this trick in mind ;)
