How much is my A1200D is worth?
« on: June 17, 2013, 05:33:02 PM »
Well, since someone went out of his way and asked the value of his item in the market, thought it is only fair to ask how much is my item valued in the market. This is just a curious question, how much will my Amiga 1200D be worth?

The specs of it is as follows, an Amiga 1200D with:

1) An Apollo 1260 @ 80 Mhz capable of running 64 MB of RAM
2) USB Sub with four USB ports in the back
3) Commodore 1084s
4) Joystick and mouse

I mean it is nothing as fancy as the previous post of the A4000D but I would consider at least the Apollo have some value :).

The Apollo and Subway are worth a bunch :) I think it really depends on how fast you want to get rid of it.

A lot of stuff on eBay is not really priced to move. Like $300+ 030 boards and stuff like that.

Hard to give it a value based on the Accelerator alone (€400 - 450)?  Unless this is purely a rhetorical question.

I paid $500 USD for an A1200 with PPC/040 card, 64 MB RAM and a BVision in it.

One of the rare good deals I've found on eBay.

Well my case is in almost mint condition...it is white in an A1200D desktop case. The Apollo 1260 is in excellent condition and runs very well and have 20 GB HD installed plus AmigaSYS4AGA with the correct drivers for maximum Apollo optimization. I hope that helps. Can you guys say my A1200D is worth at least $600?

Just curious..no plan on selling it.

Not trying to be too grim or flip, but you know someday all these jack-holes who think an A4000 is worth $3000 will someday be dead, and maybe then the rest of us will have a chance to own one, too.  Just gotta outrun the grim reaper for a couple more decades, ha!  ;)

$600 is a great buy for that machine in my books.  I'd be willing to put money on it being worth more to the right buyer.

WHy do these threads keep coming up?

1. Its worth whatever a buyer wants to pay

2. Just do the market research. Search ebay for past listings of items and the amiga boards for what stuff is going for.

Its kind of silly especially with "i have no plans of selling it" lmao so what do you care what its worth? Its worth A LOT TO YOU!

Some of us like to count our wealth?

To the OP, these guys are getting your hopes up.  Its worth $200 max, not really worth holding on to these days.

In case you change your mind or need the cash, I'm happy to help another amigan out, send me a PM and i'll take it off your hands.

Without the accelerator and Subway, I'd guess €150, with them around €650 to €700, but it would fetch a bit more sold as pieces.

People do pay ridiculous amounts for eg. a Subway, but at the end of the day it's your decision if you want to "cash-in" with it for that ridiculous price. Or just help a fellow Amigan to get one at a fair price.
My opinion anyway :)
