Any in the known universe to have a Delfina run perfectly stable

I have a Delfina Plus that is a real nice card.  Uses no CPU and is very zorro bus friendly.

I have played with different libraries (4.14, 4.16. 4.16B, 4.17B), Delfmem, and Delfinit.  I haven't found the magic combination to make it perfectly (or real close to it) stable yet.

I tried using AHI for playback as well as the delfmpeg.library for mp3.

Sometimes it plays for a real long time, even with the screen saver.  The screensaver does seem to bugger up playback sometimes.  Once in a while, it will just crash on playback without the screensaver.

I think I'm close, but was hoping to see what other delfina users are using for their settings and programs.  As well as best practices.

I had the flipper edition for my A1200 (desktop), worse Amiga experience ever (even worse than trying to fit a FastATA).  
I only got it to output sound once and even then it sounded terrible

Sold it now and I'm just sticking to good old Paula for my AHI playback.   With the right utils you can remove most of the noise from 14bit Paula and get some awesome sound out of the original chipset (esp if you've also had your CAPS replaced).   The need for MP3 playback is overrated these days because hard drive space is so cheap, I just rip all of my CDROM'S to uncompressed audio and play them back using AMP.

I use a MasPlayer these days.  It's close enough to perfect for me.

I tried the Delfina a long time ago, as well as a clock port sound card.  Gave up and sent them both back.  Stable?  Not once.  Not an option for many people, but I use a USB sound card now and it's perfect (at least on my Deneb; I can't speak for other USB interfaces.)

Under 3.9 mine kep crashing after 20 min, sometimes after an hour.

The i reinstalled it with the latest libs, used the ones from a friend in poland, and since then it plays well with the mpega.library

The chips on the card are getting warm though so i put some alu coolers on them and an extra fan. Maybe that helped?

Delfina in zorro slot will never run stable, because is no longer supported. It's a shame. I think you should sell it or wait that someone makes a stable driver. I think the sc is open source now.

Tried one years ago and it was the biggest nightmare I ever encountered.

Friend bought it and could never get it stable, so he let me try.  I couldn't either, lol.  He returned it to the shop for a refund.

I've never had Delfina Plus, but Delfina Lite with DSP changed to 66MHz version works very nice.

What do you use to play mp3's? (library versions, devices, etc).  Does it crash?  The plus is clocked at 73MHz from the factory.

I think your onto something.  I installed AmigaAmp and using the mpega.library and by golly, this seem to run perfectly so far.  I will continue testing, but so far it is promising!!!

Mpega.library and amigaamp are perfect for play back.

Only issue is that it is a bit slow on my 060 and the plus.

I had the delfina lite also overclocked. It played ok for a few moments, but if I did another thing it would crash. Of course if you have a ppc, you can decode with no problems, and still use the ahi part of the card , then it won't crash.
I think it was a nice idea that didn't get the deserved support. Get yourself an AD516 with mas player or if you can get a prelude with mpegit, your problems will be over, as mine did

I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet.  I have a Melody Z2, I can switch to if need be.  I think there is a way to get this pretty close to perfect...

The Delfina Flipper which I attached to a VarIO`s clockport and use through AmigaAMP runs stable.
 
I have been running it for up to 6 hours in a row (tonight only one hour) without issues. Using AMPlifier and the delfina.library looks different... sometimes it crashes after 20 minutes sometimes after an hour..
 
So I use AmigaAMP and it works !
 
I use mhimdev.library, 256 kb load buffer, play buffer 1sec
 
I have a CS MKI with 128 MB ram, SCSI module, and a subway usb card on a ISDN card which has a clockport for that one.
 
It took a little tinkering but this solution seems stable
