What if 110v plugged in 220v...

There's a 110v A1000 currently on sale that's been 'accidentally' plugged into 220V. No bang or anything according to the seller - it just doesn't turn on.

Is the motherboard a goner? Has it been fried into a worthless pile of silicon?

Usually the result of that is a bang, smoke, fizz kind of thing, but it's probably only the PSU. If there really was no bang or anything, it may have just blown a fuse, in which case you're very lucky.

The motherboard is probably just fine, though. Probably.

Yeah, I'd say just PSU and possibly (maybe) just a fuse.

A fuse normally blows when you have a shortcircut and you get a strong current. But your Powersupply might have taken serious damage.

I did it once when I got a 286 PC. You get a lot of smoke and it stinks like rotten eggs.

The primary circuit and the transformer in the PSU is proberbly what fried unless some transient sneaked past the transformer and secondary stage.

It may even be possible to fix the PSU..
Provide you find a replacement transformer which may be hard
