I'd still never recommend mixing them, though. Certainly in my A2000, if I mix working RAM chips of a different type (all Page Mode, though) within a bank, it just green screens. It's doubly important if you're trying to fix a non-working board that you use a known working combination.

Yeah, good job finding the problem (the short) For me over the years almost 90% of the time ive seen a green screen on a500/2000 its something with agnus chip or socket...
