I thought Starstruck was the best tech we would ever see on the Amiga until I saw this.

Pretty amazing what people are pushing the hardware to do.
They mention the processor and 16 megs of ram, but have you got any idea what type of video they are using (AGA or RTG)?

It's AGA.

No kidding?
So basically, just the original hardware.
No real 2D or 3D acceleration.

Just a fast cpu (well, that is third party item, but I won't complain).
Cool.

I run the demo at an Amiga 1200 and Blizzard 1260@50 MHz  without problems.

That is still a pretty powerful CPU.
How come you have never tried for 60 or 66MMHz?
Is the processor soldered on or socketed?

Makes me wonder what a hypothetical modern-ish Amiga might be like.
I'm talking maybe 800Mhz 68060 (no PPC, I'm imagining a continuation of the 680x0 line for this) with a GIG of RAM.

;-)

Love those demos..

If freescale were to make a new 680x0, I see no reason why it could not run at 2-4Ghz like other current processors.
