Hello all!
My first post ever . :)

I still have 2 C64s...always loved it!
Never had the amiga though.
A local is selling this for $250:

one complete Amiga 2000 with a GVP memory card/hard drive and two 3.5" drives. One Amiga 2000 case with motherboard. 2 1084S Commodore monitors. HUNDREDS of disks of software, to include a HUGE number of original disks, UK magazine disks, Public Domain software collections, Operating system disks etc. The only thing missing is the video cable (I may very well locate it too). Includes a couple mice, the keyboard, a rare Gravis Mousestick, a couple joysticks, lots of documentation, etc.

What do you guys think?

If the A2000 with GVP is in working order and has no perm battery damage it's worth the $250.  With 2 x 1084 monitors that makes it a good deal. you can use one for your C64 if you can source a C64 Y/C monitor cable.

Actually right now he is only finding the C64 video cable so he used that to show me the Amiga working on some screenshots he texted me.
I hope he finds the amiga one..not sure how hard that is to find and expensive.
Not sure what " perm battery damage " is.
Is there any question I can ask him to check on that? It is a bit of a drive to meet him so I want to make sure before I do so.

Thanks!

Amiga to 1084 video cables aren't impossible to find. But if he can find one even better.
Originally A2000s came out with a NiCad rechargeable battery which was (prone) to leaking. You'd be very lucky to find one now that still has an original battery that hasn't leaked. If the battery has been removed and there is no PERManent damage you're in good order.  The question to ask is "Is the battery still present and is there any battery damage to the motherboard." The machine will run fine without a battery. It just won't keep time/date. Other than that if he is going to open it up to check he may as well advise the Revision number of the MB. V6.1, 6.2 or 6.5 had the least quirks.
