Hands down for me A1200 or maybe A600. Do you know how many people are amazed the whole computer "is in the keyboard" lol

A3000T looks like a pc server case.

a4000T is pretty damn sweet, that smoked black plastic front is serious biz!

A4000D looks like a pc clone

A3000D looks like a pc clone and is a NIGHTMARE to upgrade or work on

A2000 makes a good boat anchor!

A500 is always cool :)

As far as looks only 1000 hands down, then 3000d, but 2000 looks tougher than 3000 IMO (like it could hold a boatload of bad a$$ cards and the 300 can only hold those wimpy low profile stuff. Kinda like pc vs Ibm PC Jr.)
I gots me a Video Toaster...where do I put the bread in ?!?!

A zero fell off my 3000, anyone want to buy an uber rare A300 desktop ? It's half as powerful as a 600.

Not to nitpick, but just so we're all talking the same language here:

...the word "chassis" has an "s" on the end and actually means the internal skeleton of a machine, not the case.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chassis

So is the question about the better internals, or the better case?

Either way my response is the same..hehe.. I agree the A4000T's are pretty
sweet.  Best of the breed as far as I'm concerned.  I like the 3 I have ;-)..

A3000/A3000T, hands down.  Rest look generic to me.  The A1000 was a great design for its day, but the A3000D was the first Amiga with that real professional office type look to me.

I always drooled over the A4000 tower. I've never owned one, but I still hope I will someday. I love the wedge cases (always had a500 or a1200) but the 4000t just screamed power to me.

The 1200 for sleek design (minus the awful keyboard), and the 2000 for rugged design and easiest access to the internals and the insane amount of peripherals you could get for it.
Amiga 3000D UP and running! Hear that clicking. 8)
Amiga 3000D & 4000D in storage sadly.

A1000...
Followed by the 3000.
Not a fan of towers or bigger cases...
After that, probably the 1200.

3000D followed by the A1200.

Why isn't this a poll?

A4000D. Plain on the outside but an ergonomic and efficient design that doesn't take up a lot of space and has enough room for expansion--who needs two internal floppies in modern times but a 5.25" CD drive bay and a bay that could be used for a card reader or zip drive are useful. The A4000T is a monster in comparison and is really just a nice AT tower chassis that's almost generic. It's the insides that make the A4000T great.

I can't stand wedgies but that's just my personal taste. Of the wedgies, the A1200 is the most atractive.
A2500 owned since 1993 with A2630/DKB 2632, DKB Megachip, GVP EGS Spectrum, A2320 and GVP HC+8 on the inside and a DCTV on the outside. A4000D with CSPPC, Cybervision 64 and a Flicker Magic flicker fixer. A4000T Toaster Flyer & CSMKII. All systems completly retro and classic and mostly used to do geometic art as in my avatar.

Which Amiga chassi do you find most attractive?

Nowadays it's possible to put high end electronics in low end chassi or low end electronics in high end chassi. And some are not originals at all ;)

the Amiga Walker prototype!

seriously, the A1200 and CDTV

You gotta love the A1000.  That was such a departure from what we had at the time.  A really nice design.

I have to agree that the towers lose some appeal because of PC's, but the 3000T is just such a beast that it adds a lot of character.

My all time favorite is the 3000D though.

The 3000D holds full size cards.  They are sideways, just like the 4000D.

You can even fit a big old Toaster and Flyer in there.
