Mystery copy protection document? Frontier Elite II?
« on: May 04, 2013, 05:52:47 PM »
Hi guys,

I am in possession of what looks like a copy protection sheet which might have been from Frontier Elite II but might be for a different game.

It has a numbering system from 1 to 800, with columns for Type, Distance, Declination, Ascension, Mass and Planets.

Example line for item 1:

1  G2  1775  260 239 1268  2

Judging from the column headers it might be for Frontier, but the manuals don't confirm or deny.

Could anyone help out?

Cheers

Frontier' copy protection was to quote a particular word from a page in the manual.
I don't remember a seperate datasheet like you describe being in the Amiga Frontier box set either.

I've no idea what your mystery datasheet (or copy protection) actually is from though, sorry!
Mac Mini G4 (1.5GHz, 64MB VRam, 1GB Ram): MorphOS 3.6
Powerbook 5.8 (15", 1.67GHz, 128MB VRam, 1GB Ram): MorphOS 3.8.

Windows-free since 2011-2014 (Damn you Netflix!)

Maybe it's from the original Elite? Was there an Amiga version of that?

I solved it guys, it's a Hired Guns code sheet.

Not sure there was an Amiga version of the original Elite but I did play Oolite for a while on my Mac - good times!
