Yes I am a lurker :)

But I logged in now just to say that I'm the kind of person who only say something when I have something to say.

I do lurk from time to time. But that's only because I'm not auto logging in when visiting amiga.org and I get logged out after a certain time. So mostly I'm only logging in when I'm posting or to see what's new. For casual browsing, it depends if I happen to be logged in or off at that moment but mostly that means lurking.

I thought I was a pro lurker but your post count/reg date has me soundly beat. Oh well, back to my deep, dark cave for another few years.:D

I wondered where you had vanished to. Hope all is well! :)

Hey Nicholas! Am good, keeping busy and out of mischief (for the most part). How's yourself? I seem to remember you were considering moving out of the UK, at least when he-who-shall-not-be-named was prime-minister. Did you ever manage to escape?

Still stubbornly refusing to join the (if you believe the newspapers) right-wing anti-Europen rising of UK and Europe, and foolishly turning to localism and community-based values instead.

Sold all my miggy gear about 3 years ago in order to set up in business: things are going according to plan so far, just about to expand later this year in partnership with a couple of other tradesmen. A large part of the business is installling solid fuel stoves (as well as maintaining all types of solid fuel appliance): it may sound fairly absurd as a business idea, but ethically it is a good fit for me - not only reducing domestic carbon emissions, but also in freeing people from the serfdom of fuel dependence from the fossil-fuel megaindustries.

My main problem is getting my lazy ass out of bed in the morning, but at least when I do sleep in I don't have to think of some crappy excuse and call it in to my boss. :-)

Windows-free since 2011-2014 (Damn you Netflix!)

I would have thought that the genuine lurkers would have a post count of 1.

There's "lurkers" and then there's "lurkers" and the SysAdmin didn't specify which he was refering to. Lurker's who never post at all are, IMHO, Post Virgins, the truest lurkers of them all, but that does not mean someone who has posted isn't a lurker. Using myself as an example, I don't know if I could truly call myself a lurker, as, if you average out my posts per day based on the year I signed up, it comes to roughly once every 5 days. Not what I might consider true lurker status. However, I've posted more in the early years than in recent years, so you could say I have become a lurker. Now, those that have only had a handful of posts since 2002? Posting at, let's say, 1 post per year? Yea, I think they qualify. To me, lurker status is the frequency at which you post.
