Book - Commodore: the Amiga Years - to be released

It's been a long time in coming, and there was publishing delay after delay, but now Brian Bagnall's new book, "Commodore: the Amiga Years", is set to be released on July 1.  This is confirmed by Brian's website at

The book not only tells about the Commodore Amiga but also the Commodore 8-bit computers which CBM built after 1984, the year at which Brian's previous book, "Commodore: a Company on the Edge", had stopped in the history of the company.  Commodore: a Company on the Edge is still available, for example at

I've pre-ordered my copy from Amazon today - while i was at it I ordered a hard copy of "Commodore: a Company on the Edge" as I really enjoyed the eBook version I bought.

I got this atari book recently too and i had a look through it. it looks ace and is a properly researched piece.

The tramiel period will be covered in their next book, which they are already working on. Im excited about the tramiel period too after reading commodore a company on the edge.

I think it's pretty clear Variant Press has some serious distribution/supply chain problems. Their site says the book was released July 1. Is there any truth to that? Did anyone receive a copy?

I got the same message regarding the delay from Amazon UK.
I've just use the contact us form on the Variant Press site to ask if/when the book will be released. I'll post an update if I get a response.
