I didn't get that far with the new config tool either, I managed to get some screen modes looking much better but it also introduced some nasty graphical glitches for other screen modes.

I'll try and fiddle a bit more with the config tool to fix up these new glitches, otherwise I might just throw it in the bin and find an old 10" 15hz CRT instead.

Prefer the previous version it was bang on. Plus not sure about the test option as it reflashed the indi when I clicked test not what I was expecting.

After playing around with the indi tool it's now looking great. No graphic corruption, and it's very crisp.

Happy customer now :-)

I haven't tried the tool yet, but I am wondering whether I can use it to fix my Indivision AGA Mk2 when running Linux.

Whenever I boot into Linux, the Indivision generates an output signal over VGA that my monitor cannot deal with.

Did anyone have similar problems and where able to solve them?

Could adjust the resolution you are trying to do with the config tool.

At the moment I'm getting that with Alien Bash 2 as it uses a higher res, still can't get it to display right.

I think your best bet would be to either:

a) boot up in Workbench and set the resolution to the same parameters as you're Linux setup and then use the config tool.

or

b) Use native output on Linux and adjust the resolution to one of the comparable modes of the Indivision.

Take this with a grain of salt because I haven't been able to use it yet on my setup yet...

Argh just when I thought I was winning can't get alien bash 2 or disposable hero working. Was working :-(

When it goes to change resolution on both games the monitor goes into power saving mode, even if I reset it still nothing on the monitor have to turn the Amiga completely off.

The battle continues.

The problem is that I currently don't know what mode is generated once the Linux kernel boots. Mind, it's currently text-mode only, so I actually don't understand why it would end up with a resolution the monitor can't deal with.

Well, I have to do some more testing.

I tried version 1.0 of the configuration tool today and I am still struggling to get proper modes. I have seen, however, that there is a new version 1.1 available which provides some sane default modes which I will test.

I might also try to get into touch with the guys from Individual Computers. It would be nice to get the Indivision prorperly working both with AmigaOS and Linux since we're working to revive the m68k Linux port :).

Update:

While my screenmodes for AmigaOS 3.9 are a bit messed up now, I can actually use the Linux console at 800x600/60 Hz. Looks I like I need to dig further into the tool and how to use it.

v1.2:

Version 1.2 is a beta version and includes the utility only, the Core files v2.6 from the v1.1 archive are required as well. Just unpack v1.1 first, then overwrite with the files from the v1.2 archive.

I am currently testing the configuration utility, trying to understand how screen modes work and how to generate proper ones that will deliver the best results. Will post results later.

Right now the tool is still being worked on so I'd hold off playing around unless you really need to.  Once it is finished and you have a much more stable program, then I'd start experimenting...

Beside some screen modes not working in WB I got it up and running perfect now thankts to the config tools (got a little panic at first when all went crazy but thankfully got the right end of things), thank you :)
