So one of those Apollo's has had an extra SIM soldered on so that it can still fit in a desktop case?

That's really cool, lots of people have tried this but I've never seen it done before.
Life begins at 100 MIPS!

Nice Ports on AmiNet!

Correct.
To be honest this mod is very simple as you can see. The whole trick is to use low-profile SIMM module. :-)

Hey mine have the high-porifle SIMM and I would like to lower it. Can someone here where I live do it for me, like normal computer store? Mine already have the option for another additional 32 MB of RAM but mine is high SIMM. Also mine have just heat sink no fan is that enough to cool it?

Would need someone who is really good at soldering. Looks straight forward apart from the soldering part which needs a great deal of skill, time and a steady hand.

Maybe look for electronic repair stores? Not that common anymore though.

I may know of someone here in NZ that I've been talking to my neighbour about who does console modding so does a lot of component work :-)

Only other option I have is Amigakit, they do an awesome job and keep you up to date. Shipping time is really good too. Downside is they are UK side :-/ Wish I lived next door LOL

stachu100 can do the mod for you too, have been thinking about it. Have to talk to him nicely ;-)
