Recapping a 1084S monitor?
« on: March 29, 2013, 03:57:31 PM »
Yoo!

I was wanting to recap my 1084s monitor before something goes wrong with it. It works great, but given the age of it I worry if someday the capacitors just leak and ruin the whole monitor.  Does anyone have a list of all the capacitors inside to replace? I could just sit down and pick out all the capacitors and write their values down, but figured id try to save some time and see if someone else has already done this.

Thanks and have a great weekend! :)

@kd7ota

Why don't you just get the schematics?  Decent set is here:  http://www.devili.iki.fi/Computers/Commodore/C1084S/schematics/

There's service manual here with all the parts listed nicely as well:  http://personalpages.tds.net/~rcarlsen/cbm/monitors/1084s-p1/Commodore%201084S-P1%20Service%20Manual.pdf
