« on: January 29, 2004, 05:18:01 PM »
Amiga 2000HD w/bridgeboard, various parts like 2 SCSI cards, extra motherboard (works),
Commodore 128D, spare 1571 drive, various software for both systems..

its been a while since I've seen a 128D on ebay so I dont know what its worth..

Quite fair - depending of course on what you got with the A4000.

1571 drives are very fragile, please please PLEASE ship the drives (the spare one and the one in the D) with the shipping spacer (or alternately a scrap disk) inserted and the lever closed!

You must at least stick the disk in and pull it out so that the spring inside the mechanism goes back and lets the read write heads go down. Best just leave the disk in. :-)

I say this, because too many 1571 mechanisms have been ruined already by storage and shipping with the lever open. It's a real problem.

In Europe 128D`s go for around 50Euros (that`s about the same in dollars). Although if the 128`s boxed that`s a different story.

When you say 'even trade for an A4000' do you mean you're going to sell those bits to raise the money to buy one? Or just trade?
I like Amigas

@TheMagicM-

Personally, I think you'd be better off if you can get the A4000, by US prices, at least.

The A2000 sounds like it is a nice computer, but they don't draw as much money as they really should...  And 128's and 1571's can usually be found at rummage sales for mega cheap.  (I bought mine for a total of $10, I think.  They don't go on eBay for much more, from what I've seen.)

4000's, on the other hand, still seem to draw a couple hundred bucks...
