Odamex: (Advanced DOOM Engine) Relased for MorphOS

BsZili just updated his page with a release of Odamex 0.6.2 for MorphOS.

Missing: Server, GUI, Timidity MIDI Support (due to an issue with SDL).

Supports the following iWADs: DOOM.WAD, DOOM2.WAD, CHEX.WAD, TNT.WAD, PLUTONIA.WAD, FREEDOOM.WAD (renamed to DOOM2.WAD)


Use: Copy at least one of the above if not all wads into your Odamex folder.

If only using one iWAD, then double click Odamex icon. If you have more than one iWAD in your Odamex directory, select your iWAD via command line like this:

odamex -iwad doom.wad

or

odamex -iwad chex.wad

(Defaults to DOOM2.WAD if no wad is specified.)

If you want to run a DOOM Mod aka pWAD then you would type this as an example should you be loading Deus Vult II which requires DOOM2.WAD (most MODs do).

odamex -iwad doom2.wad -file DVII-1i.wad


Again, since this is using DOOM2.WAD you don't necessarily need to type -iwad doom2.wad, but if this were a MOD for DOOM, then you would need to type -iwad DOOM.WAD The Aliens TC would be a good example.
