Are you sure you have the apollo libraries? Also make sure to remove the bliz kick line, I think it was AmigaSYS that adds that :-)

Why? What does Bliz kick line do?

P.S "Following your advice Lurch, now my Apollo runs at optimal performance! The game throttle RUNS AT OPTIMAL SPEED and it is like a quad processor or feels like quad process. The only problem with that gray screen, it is a bit late so I am heading to sleep and will try it tomorrow and give you an update then."

The system is working 100% except for that problem I mentioned earlier where it would go gray screen every 30 seconds and I am forced to reboot the OS. I have not done the changes yet, I will do it now...and ones I do I will report the result here.

Update: Removing Bliz Helped! It made the situation last way longer now before heading back to gray screen. So instead of it going gray screen in 30 screens it goes after 2 minute maybe 3. Ones it goes to screen, if I wait a while...it makes a loud beep noise, turns from gray to green screen, then reboots, says software failure, then restarts AmigaSYS then returns back to the same symptom. But when I had blizkick on before...it was 30 seconds. So the change helped in away :).

Any advice what else I need to do? :)

P.S "Sometimes when it happens again instead of being gray screen, it goes lines of green screen dancing around as the power LED flashes, then becomes full green screen then reboots....after hitting gray. Oh, this does not happen only except if I am in workbench, but if I am playing games it is ok. Oh one more essential update, now it no longer waited 3 minutes it toke less than 5 seconds before repeating the symptoms again."

I had some of the same issues with my apollo when i had that . but that was every 8-20 hours. It would just freeze.

Never had anything like it on my blizz 060 .

That is my problem. I don't have FastATA at all so that is why it is not running really smooth at all with me. That also means if I actually have FastATA installed I can watch movies in HAM8 as smooth as a Quad Processor 2 Ghz with 4 GB RAM running Windows 7 would run an AVI movie in a PC.

A standard A1200 14MHz 68020 can play back ham8 videos at full FPS. And a standard A500 7MHz 68000 can play back ham6 videos at full FPS. The only problem is getting data from hard drive quick enough. I did download and play your videos the other week and the audio was broken somehow (can't remember now). Are you still experimenting with this? I might have a crack at this myself if I get the time.
Would be uber cool to have films to download play on my Amiga...even if it is breaching copyright law.

I have two full movies already in my HD plus well done ren and stimpy episode. I have not done anything yet until I solve my Amiga problem.

Then this leaves three things.

1) PSU - Not using the standard one? You'll need a better PSU, I'm using a 350W ATX.

2) Timing fixes - I had mine done through Amigakit.

3) Capacitors - One or more might be at fault, I had mine replaced through Amigakit.

But this only happen after I install AmigaSYS AGA. it does not do that in workbench 31, OS35 or even AmiKit Real AGA. It must be some sort of software problem, right? Also it does not happen when I am playing games, besides the power supply I am using is a PC power supply 300 Watt, I got it from AmigaKit. Hold on I will show you the link of the power supply I have:

Just another thing, remove everything from the workbench startup folder :-)

I removed tinymeterexe (of course backing it up first) and it seems to be the reason it is giving me a hard time. I am not going to confirm it 100% yet but so far it is acting very stable with no problem. I will leave my Amiga 1200 for 2 hours straight and if it is still OK then that is the problem. However, put that aside, TINY meter is very essential for me because it is the one in AmigaSYS where it put everything on the right side of the screen in category here let me show what I mean:

http://amigasys.ultimateamiga.co.uk/amigainstall3.jpg

Observe the clock and what is underneath it on the right side on the link above? Well, this all had to go away in order for (not confirmed 100%) to be stable and functioning like a horse. Is there a version of tinymeter that is compatible with Apollo without causing any further problem? I really like having that in my screen.

Not sure as I haven't had any issues with AmigaSYS 060. You're selecting hardware setup and choosing the Apollo under the AmigaSYS menu?

Most of the stuff on that side screen can be access via the right click menu anyway :-)

Personally, I'd recommend ClassicWB

It's probably the best one for real hardware.
Life begins at 100 MIPS!

Nice Ports on AmiNet!

My experiment is a success, my Amiga 1200 have not crashed or gave me a hard time ever since the disappearance of tinymeter. If what you say is true and by that everything is accessable from the menu anyways then I am happy to say I do not need tinymeter and my Amiga 1200 performance top notch. My Apollo 1260 is optimized, ScummVM running throttle is running at least at a 25 fps, meaning it is smooth as ever.

My AmiAmp runs SUPER fast, the OS boots super fast, I can transfer files and listen to mp3 SMOOTH as ever. I can even listen to mp3 and play scummVM and play throttle with no performance degradation. I even watch ren and stimpy FAST at a 25 fps with smooth sound and no lose in sound quality...that is it boys! I have a 100% full functioning entertainment center. Now I am going to devote my time converting my movies and tv show to run into Amiga classic.

Boys and girls, what I get now is an Amiga classic that gives you the same experience as OS 4.x in modern hardware in all it's media entertainment plus more (meaning more software available for classic over OS 4.x) with one exception however and that is a browser. If Amiga classic have the same browser ability as OS 4.x one could say OS 4.x is not even needed :)

That is just my opinion in the matter. Thank you all for everything, thank you all for helping me and being supportive, thank you NovaCoder for ScummVM and all the other cool ports you are doing for the community!! Time to enjoy my Amiga :)
