Alfa Data trackball
« on: February 19, 2013, 02:34:42 PM »
Hello you all.

My Alfa Data trackball fell down yesterday. Nothing serious but one of the three rollers inside got out of its place so now it can be moved freely.

I've unscrewed the three screws at the bottom of the trackball but I can't still fully open it in order to put the roller back to its place. How can I open it? I've found no videos nor explanations. I've just been able to take the roller out the trackball.

Help!!!

Of course, Lurch.

Trackball.jpg is for you to see the model of the trackball.

Opening.jpg is to be seen how I can open it after unscrewing. I can hardly insert my fingers.

Thank you.

I can't look at mine right now, but I think there are 4 or 5 screws not 3.  They are hidden under the feet or stickers.

Good luck,

Matt

That's correct, matt3k!!! I had never figured out there were a couple of screws under the feet. Trackball open and fixed.

Thank you very much.

Glad to hear that you got it fixed.  I will have to remember that about the screws, as I have one, but have never had it apart.
