Looks like it belongs in a big box Amiga and not an A1200?
Even my cat doesn\'t like me.

No i am sure i can squeeze it in the 1200 some where lol,but you could be right .
by the way its only as big as a post card 5x3 inches at the most and has A side printed and B-side printed on it so it looks like you could turn it over ,or make sure it is the right way up.

Looks like an A501 clone to me, a 512k trapdoor RAM expansion for an A500.

With one chip in wrong ;)

Edit: the switch disables the extra RAM for games that can't cope with it.

Yours doesn't have the optional clock and battery.

Half a point to me for correctly guessing it didn't belong in the A1200  ;)

It is definately a trap door memory expansion board not an accelerator board.

The fact that it has a switch tells me that it is probably for the A500.

I would not plug it in with that chip reversed. Doing that could blow a chip, which may have already happened.

Can you send us a pic of the under side?

Can you try to take a new pic and get the writing on the chips in focus?
