Looking for an A3000 LED board replacement
« on: January 12, 2013, 02:56:51 AM »
Has anyone made a replacement for these?  Mine does not work due to broken traces near the LED solder pads.  I have the equipment to make a replacement board, although if someone has already done the work to replicate it I'd rather just buy one and move the LED's over onto it.

i have fixed a ton of these in the last 15+ years. just scrape the trace and bridge it with solder and it should be fine...they used some really bad solder on some.. resolder all the led pads also. I dont think anyone tackled a replacement, but its a great idea.

Mine's broken as well, but I intend to repair it one of these days. It's a very simple circuit - I had planned on using wire.

Guys, go to an auto-repair/parts store and buy a rear window demister repair kit. This is a silver paint on applicator, great for repairing simple circuits like the Amiga3000 LED system. Approx $20 for the kit.

Have repaired 2 of these and both working well after 15 years :)

Completely useless? I can always be used as a bad example
