Smallest serial filetransfer program for Amiga?
« on: January 08, 2013, 12:14:16 AM »
What is the absolute smallest software to transfer files using the Zmodem protocol or similar error checking and resending protocol for the A500 ..?

The idea would be to do "cat SER: > term ; protect term +re ; ./term" to transfer something more suitable like NComm. Which in turn can transfer larger quantities etc. A kind of bootstrapping.

I don't know either.

Have you searched the terminal section of aminet?

I remember a cool program named ACCESS!  I think it might predate Zmodem (had X or Y modem protocol?).  I remember it booting from a single disk with most of Workbench on it.

Why do you think that NComm is not suitable?

If the other computer is a PC, Amiga Explorer might be an option.
