One of my c64 have custom made adapter :( owner before me do this :furious: adapter is clean and there is no yellow on him but i don't like custom made cable's




so i buy another one, before cleaning

find some floppy 3,5 box's yesterday, one cost 1,2euro )))) so i buy all (they have 3 pieces's) , for my amiga's floppy :kitty:

today will put c64 rust cable in coca cola so we will see how coca cola clean rust :crazy:

Can you find a similar size plug and use parts of it to replace the rusty parts of your plug?

i can , but i don't like custom cable's always buy oem commodore only if there is no original cable's i buy custom, so i put now cable in WD-47 after that will put in coca cola so i will try to remove rust after that, will send picture here

Brillo pad/steel wool is good for removing rust from metal, just make sure no bits of steel get stuck in there!

i put today in coca cola still waiting for resultats :crazy: if don't work will try something like that Brillo i don't know if there is in Croatia for buy

today i find boxed c64 C and floppy with original invoice from 1989 and original warranty , c64 and floppy is in great condition like new, i have one c64 same like this in mint condition on him i will play and this one is go to my boxed collection , here is pics

and 1541 I c64 floppy in great condition





still try to remove rust from cable coca cola don't do it :shocked:

Why would you think that it would?

Just go to your local auto parts store and get some rust remover, or go to a hardware store and get some CLR. Worst case, get our your Dremel and use a small wire brush to take off the rust, then buff it with a soft head.

coca cola have at home so i try )))) i don't think that she will remove rust but it's free shout to try, now i will do like you tell me :afro:
