Hardware repair in USA? I have a CSPPC that needs work.
« on: December 30, 2012, 03:57:59 AM »
Hi, anyone in the USA willing to do hardware repair for a CSPPC?  The scsi is borked, and it will no longer boot.  I would really like to have all of those things fixed.  :)  It's a 060@50/ppc@233 card.  Thanks!

Amigakit may not be in the USA but I'd check with them. Chris does some really good work.

I dont think you will find anyone to service it in USA. I'd recommend Amiga Repair Center in France i've seen their work.. Amigakit is competent obviously but quite busy probably.

A shame there are not people closer as the waiting time on shipping 5 days one way and then the time frame to have the repair done :-(

There is a local guy here who mods and repairs game consoles and does component level stuff, I was thinking of approaching him.

Although I'd need to supply the documentation as they're prolly an Amiga virgin :-)

Do yourself a favour man, with that super rare board ONLY trust competant Amiga techs that have experience with this board. You may also want to talk to "Stachu" who is an expert on these cards.. Also "Corto" some Amiga os4 dev who lurks on aw.net works on these boards afaik.

Yep that's why I sent my 1200 motherboard to Amigakit. Downside being xmas/new years and the delay with that and the 5 day's each way it usually takes and then the repair itself :-(

Getting the shakes here LOL
