why it wasnt on the vapor list (sharkppc) Is VERY easy to answer..

There aint that many who wants this card , maybe a few 100s? , maybe 1000 ? ..

and AmigaOs4 is simply something alot of people is waiting for , as in thats why they vote up such a list! , bear in mind there was alot of other things we are waiting for that didnt show up on the list eiter, so basically it just shows the potential os4 can get

Modernizing a classic car is fun!  I know one guy that took his '71 'Cuda and modernized it, 17" wheels, EFI'd Hemi engine, the works.  The thing rides like a dream.

I would boot to OS3.9 partition/hard drive to access the classic stuff, or boot to OS4.0 partition/hard drive for the latest PPC offerings.

Imagine you had both PPC motherboard and A1200... You could run both
classic stuff and OS4 software simultaneously. Not to mention old
hardware is crippling PPC performance on SharkPPC still.

I really mean that and every time you switch OS you must close IRC
sessions etc... I had such dual boot system on my A1200 and it was not
really convenient. Usually I could not switch OS when I wanted to
because someone was leeching from my FTPd or haning on dynAMIte
server.

Personally I think the Shark PPC will appear on the scene (although it's some way off I would imagine), Elbox are already laying the foundations with their six slot PCI bus boards and flash rom cards. Besides, they've got a pretty good record for delivering REAL products, they did come up with the first PCI expansion solution and Voodoo graphics drivers for the Amiga after all. Elbox have stated they will not produce the board until OS4 is on the shelves and that's fair enough, they don't want to fall victim to vaporware themselves now, do they ;-) .

As i before, he asks for OS4.... so a reply like "Buy a Pegasos" isn't the right one. Only this. I like Pegasos, i have 2 friends who have bought one or are going to buy one.
