Super Keyboard Steal!!!
« on: December 14, 2012, 03:05:21 PM »
SUPER DEAL ON SPRINGLOADED KEYBOARD!
I THINK IT EXPIRES IN 47 HOURS.

Rosewill RK-9000RE
This keyboard has numeric keypad and all keys.  NOT MISSING ANY KEYS like sooooo many other keyboards these days that chop off the right Amiga key or the Help key or the numeric keypad or other random keys.

Every key has a spring under it.  YAY!

All keys can easily be replaced.  They are not screwed up like some keyboards.

They are giving them away free for $55.00 at NewEgg.
You even get free shipping (in USA I guess?)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823201044

$55.00 for a springloaded FULL, Cherry Red, not super sabatoged keyboard is SUPER DUPER CHEAP.

Sometimes they have springloaded keyboards for only $40.00 but they are always the stupid crappy noisy switches that nobody wants.

This keyboard has the Cherry Reds which are the only ones I will buy!
I only do reds!  They are the smoothest and require the least force!

Cherry Reds are just like improved Cherry Blacks from the famous Amiga 2000 keyboards.

It works on USB Or PS/2.  It is not a bigotted Nazi USB fanboi that bans PS/2 like certain other keyboards.  You can plug this keyboard into anything and it will work.  All Amigas can use this keyboard if u have a PS/2 adapter on your Amiga which of course you do :)

Use this promo code to get the $45.00 off the listed price:
EMCJHJJ232

If u want a springloaded keyboard this is the best one.

All modern keyboards are sabotaged in one way or another.  Usually 3 or 4 ways.  The keyboard industry runs rampant with corruption like the Camera industry.  This keyboard is sabotaged the least.  And its on sale super cheap.

I have studied Keyboards for 20 hours a day for 44 days.  Its ridiculous what I had to go thru.  U get the benefit of my research for free.  Have fun :)

p.s. This keyboard has NKRO when plugged into PS/2.  That means u can smash as many keys as u want and they will all register.  Excellent feature.
Wanna try a wonderfull strategy game with lots of handdrawn anims,
Magic Spells and Monsters, Incredible playability and lastability,
English speech, etc. Total Chaos AGA

No bluetooth, but  the woman doing the presentation is cute.

What we\'re witnessing is the sad, lonely crowing of that last, doomed cock.

Not really into Asians, but she seems geeky enough.

Geeky is the new sexy.

EDIT: As for the keyboard.
If it ain't buckling spring, it ain't for me.

We have a Swedish manufacturer of mechanical keyboards and they do great non crippled keyboards with PS/2  and NKRO :)

Also as you know blue cherry switches are my thing ;)

It already has springs in the switches, why the need for extra springs?

Some people prefer clicky switches, such as Cherry Blue and Cherry Brown.

They're not improved, they're just different. There are four different Cherry switches, because different people prefer different switches.

Not yet. But I want to fully convert to buckling spring keyboards (that would also include my PC at work) in the nigh future.

Driving people opposite of your cube crazy is half the fun of mechanical keyboards ;)

Why? Anything wrong with that?

Don't like the linear reds.  I much prefer browns.

Even better would be torpe.  But those are $$$.

Rosewill are ok.  Whatever you do DO NOT BUY LEOPOLD!  They are crap.

My favorite mechy keyboard company at the moment:

This will be my replacement keyboard for my awful leo tenkeyless.

Topre sux.  They psychotically hate PS/2 and won't allow their keyboards to work on any PS/2 computer.  Such as my A1200T, A3000, etc.

I agree because the CEO of Leopold has severe Spacebar Psychosis.  He keeps constantly replacing the incompatible nonstandard stupid spacebar with a new incompatible nonstandard stupid spacebar just to screw over everybody.

WASD is good.  I only mentioned Rosewill because they are so cheap.

I almost got tricked into buying a Leopold before I found out about Severe Acute Spacebar Psychosis Syndrome.

What is your specific complaint against Leopold?

If that is your only beef, then you obviously haven't typed on  one ;)

use a ps2 to usb adapter.

This:  I have replaced about 1/2 of the keycaps and 2 spacebars.  The spacebar is elmers glued down.  They are absolute crap caps.  The colored caps are from WASD and they are awesome.  Should have bought WASD to start with.

When I see features like: "The Rosewill RK-9000RE incorporates high quality braided cable and gold plated USB and PS/2 connector. These connectors ensure low latency." I have to wonder what they are smoking...

Looks like a great keyboard.
Expensive, but looks awesome.
So, presuming that the keys glow or spews out dollar bills or a stripper jumps out from between the keys, or some-such.
If I had a hardware budget, I'd consider to pick one up at that price.

My preference for keyboards is the IBM Model M keyboards.
Fully springed, tactile, and they do make some noise.
I like the sound produced. Totally clicky.
As for cube neighbors, feh. There's nothing in my contract that says I can't use one. ha!

And, what was that, up there?
An exercise in creative writing I presume.

Anyway, IBM Model M's. Ain't nothing like them.
I have three in service and I love 'em.

Good, fast, cheap. Pick two.
