« on: November 19, 2012, 10:14:14 AM »
I was reading that multi-page thread with curiosity, is it deleted now and if, why?

I remember it was:
"Uses for X1000's x-core"
found the link in history but no worky

That thread all got a bit silly in the end so I guess the Mods just deleted it.

If you found that thread fun, may I heartily recommend Moobunny. :)

This thread, on the other hand, should have locked WAY before it was... but at least it's gone now. It just turned it a troll-fest of people just sniping each other or each other's OS choice.

Agreed. If that the sort of crap you enjoy then moonbunny is where you need to be. The xena thread just degraded into a stew of ****. And I can't help but think this thread is inviting it again.

It wasn't a moobunny thread! moobunny is way worse. There we're some good points in that thread also, it wasn't just a bicker-fest. Well it was starting to show some signs of decay :D

It was on par with moonbunny towards the end. What ever reasonable debate was in there got trashed.

Sorry guys.

It got so far away from computing I pleaded with Karlos to just kill it.

Some things you don't want in your sock drawer.

Although that "Persian Sand Monkey" comment while deeply offensive was somewhat  creative.

Heck, my ancestors were from Ireland. While Iran and Ireland both begin with an "I" and both countries can offer some comic relief, there's not much similarity.

The thread, which resulted in numerous complaints by the time I checked my email this morning is unapproved and pending moderation.

We may have a generally relaxed moderation policy here, but when users resort to racial slurs in their personal attacks on each other, it's gone far too far.

some signs?:swords:

I owe it to you guys to act a little better then that.

Just because I can joke with a few of you like Kesa (who has a sense of humor), doesn't mean that pot shots at strangers are reasonable.

And I'm ready to accept whatever I get for my participation in it.

BTW - Still posting on a non "modern PC".

And Cthulu is no longer angry.

Debate is fine and it was a good debate till it got derailed. I just don't get the aros vs MorphOS vs os4 butthurt that goes on. Personally if I had the money I would invest in all three. But for the time been I can only do aros due to it been able to run on my amd machine. :-(

buthurt? shouldn't that be butt hurt?

And, no, I don't get it either.
They are all pursuing similar goals.
