Ten ready-made Amiga911 boot disks

For all those that might be interested in trying out an Amiga911 boot disk, but who also thinks it sounds like too much hassle to download and install Amiga911 Maker just for creating one, there is now a much easier solution available.  This comes in the form of some generic ready-made versions of the Amiga911 floppy that was created by using Amiga911 Maker 1.54. The target Amigas for these disks are A600 and/or A1200, but they should also work with other Amiga models as well.
Because of legal reasons, the disks are missing the majority of the system files since they are still under copyright. This means that upon booting one of the Amiga911 disks for the very first time, it must be activated by importing the missing files from a Workbench disk before it can be fully used.

In addition to the ready-made versions of the Amiga911 boot disk, there are also eight generic ready-made A911Extras packs available as well (created with Amiga911 Maker 1.54). Unlike the Amiga911 disks, they don't need to contain any copyrighted system files, so there is no sort of activation required.

Have in mind that these videos are highly unprofessional, where especially part 2 is quite a bit clumsy. The reason for the bad image quality is because I used composite as video output when recording.

Have you considered using the C: programs from AROS m68k, instead of requiring an AmigaOS Workbench to install from?

Yes I might consider using Aros m68k  files instead of the standard Workbench ones, or at least make this an  option. This of course depends upon whether or not I'm allowed to do so,  and it also depends on how much of the original system files that can  be replaced by Aros files.

You are allowed to redistribute binaries, so long as you indicate in your README in the package which files are from AROS m68k, what build that you used, and state that the sources are available from aros.org.

If you make modifications to the Sources, you need to make those modifications available via the same distribution method (ie download page) as the packaged binaries.

Of course, if you *do* find bugs, let us know! We'll be more than happy to fix any regression against the AOS 3.x utilities!

Although I have tried to make Amiga911 Maker as easy to use as possible, I can understand that some may find it a bit confusing, and maybe too much hassle just for creating a boot disk as well.

OK, I had a feeling that it was only this it would take, so maybe I should check out the Aros files. If it can be done, I will make some alternative ready-made Amiga911 disks which contains Aros binaries as replacements for the standard Workbench ones.

Hmmm... There really isn't anything malicious on my site. The only thing I can think of that may be the reason for what you experienced, is that there is/was another dodgy site present on the same server as my site. I use a free web host for the Amiga911 Maker site, and sadly there are some people who abuse the free services on the internet.
