Great compilation. Enjoyed watching that. Thank you. What brilliant coders the Amiga has been blessed with.

I would love to see a list of what demos appeared in order. I recognize many, but not most.

Any chance? Thanks.

Impressive work.

It seems that all the best ones used the line-draw mode, filled vectors, or chunky-to-planar conversion.  I applaud the first two but the latter should be classified as a PC effect since chunky graphics are native on the PC but not the Amiga.

Amazing. Some of those demos would make really cool screensavers for my Morphos.
Even my cat doesn\'t like me.

Very nice compilation though I would prefer it with the original mod music.

Seems like that would feel quite disjointed.

I thought not about original music from these demos but mod background music instead these modern mp3 remixes, especially if these effects are from OCS Amigas, then old feelings will be better :).

Thanks for the comments !

As for the music I liked both remixes and thought they deserved a bit more exposure. They were also both short and could fit my video.

The different variety of effects is one of the great things about the Amiga and the demo scene. I tried to show all the main effects to show how flexible and powerful the Amiga was. The 16 bit consoles which arrived years later were built just to scroll tiles and draw sprites.

My favorite type of effects were the bitmap manipulation ones. Some used chunky to planar but others used Copper tricks like the opening zoomer. These effects were supposed to be impossible on Amiga so when demo coders pulled them off at 50hz I was very intrigued on how it was possible!

The demo effects featured in order:-

Sanity - Jesterday (Copper bitmap zoomer)
Crytoburners - Crash Test (Gouraud shaded cube)
Razor 1911 - We Shave Ass (text zoomer)
Spaceballs - State Of The Art (vector dancers)
Razor 1911 - We Shave Ass (texture mappped x-axis rotated cube (uses Copper))
Rage - Neural Assault - (Copper twister thing)
Spaceballs - State Of The Art (3D vectors)
Sanity - Arte - (shaded bouncing sphere object)
Virtual Dreams - Chaosland (Blitter feedback)
Silent - Xpose (3D vector)
Silent - Xpose (Copper RGB Plasma)
Spaceballs - State Of The Art (vector dancers)
Spaceballs - Nine Fingers (dancer)
Sanity - Inteference (texture mappped x-axis rotated cube (uses Copper))
Sanity - World Of Commodore (Vector tunnel)
TRSI - Viktoria (texture mapped logo)
Sanity - World Of Commodore (zooming and rotating picture using Blitter and Copper shearing)
Silent - Xpose (Copper twister thing)
Mad Elks - Technological Death (3D vectors)
Sanity - World Of Commodore(1 bitplane c2p zoom rotator)
Batman Group - Batman Vuelve (3D vectors)
Sanity - Arte (zooming 3d square field (nice Copper effect)
Rage - Neural Assault (bitmap 3d zooming cinema scene)
Virtual Dreams - Absolute Inebriation  (102 x-axis texture mapped cubes)
Sanity - Arte (c2p texture mapped sphere)
Sanity - Arte (rotating dot landscape)
Silent - Xpose (colour cycling plasma)
Sanity - World Of Commodore  (102 x-axis texture mapped credits)
Angels - Copper Master (RGB plasma)
Sanity - Arte (c2p zoom rotator)
Virtual Dreams - Chaosland (more blitter feedback)
TRSI - Viktoria (texture mapped floor/ceiling)
Kefrens - Desert Dream (102 Copper x-axis bitmap logo bounce/stretch)
Sanity - Arte (Copper zooming tunnel)
Razor 1911 - We Shave Ass (1 bitplane c2p zoom rotator)
Crytoburners - Crash Test (transparent 3D vector)
Pygmy - Extensions (filled 3d city)
Sanity - Arte (zooming plasma)
Mad Elks - Technological Death (line tunnel)
Batman Group - Batman Vuelve (dot tunnel)
Pygmy - Extensions (dot landscape)
Sanity - World Of Commodore (Copper zooming tiles)

Phew !
