Damaged Trace Amiga 2000 motherboard...
« on: September 05, 2012, 11:24:17 PM »
I was removing the battery from the motherboard, and I wanted to remove the 68000 to inspect it.  My chip puller wouldn't work, as the chip was too thick, so I went with the always risky, carefully remove it with a flat head technique...Well the screwdriver slipped a little and I think I may have broken a trace...Is there any way to fix it?  There's an electronics repair shop around here, but I want to know if I should even bother taking it in.

Yes, that could be bridged at the site, easily fixable by someone comfortable with a soldering iron.
