Lately, I've bem.en liquidating most of my hardware.

I'm buying the hardware I need to build a Hackintosh to run OSX and Windows apps.
I also bought two 8 bit Ataris (130XEs) to modify wth Hitachi 63B09E processors to run the NitosOS9 operating system.

If I could find a copy of  OS9 for the Atari ST I buy one of those.

BTW - Are there any accelerators for the original STs (like the 1040)?

Oh, that reminds me, I collect Atari 7800 games too.

And as to the afore to mentioned Hitachi 6309Es, I have four.
One 63B09E and three 63C09Es.

I'm thinking of trying to build a simple 63C09E based SMP computer running at3.58 MHz.

I don't care if they are in the box or not, I just get them to play.

Sure it would be nice to have the maps and such but I can get the documents online if I get stuck in a certain area.

Yes. I can't remember the name right now but there was one that had a 16mhz 68000 that replaced the stock 8mhz 68000 and had a few chips to give it a CPU cache as well.
A2500 owned since 1993 with A2630/DKB 2632, DKB Megachip, GVP EGS Spectrum, A2320 and GVP HC+8 on the inside and a DCTV on the outside. A4000D with CSPPC, Cybervision 64 and a Flicker Magic flicker fixer. A4000T Toaster Flyer & CSMKII. All systems completly retro and classic and mostly used to do geometic art as in my avatar.

Way cooler to actually collect this old stuff to play, rather than sitting on a shelf somewhere

You need a color monitor to play games on the ST. There are a handful of mono games but the mono monitor was used for DTP and MIDI applications mostly.

The accelerator I was thinking about is the Fasttech Turbo16. Here's an old article on ST accelerators that compares it to a couple of others.

Cool. Now I just need to find one.
Since I want to use an alternate OS, I can't use later models in this lineup.
But an accelerated 1040ST would be ideal.

Thanks.
