This is very true, and OS X does have a lot of nice software and eyecandy. However, if you want to get back into AmigaOS on a new PowerPC system, getting an Apple won't help. Whereas, with an AmigaOne, you can run Linux, OS X (slower than on a real mac due to lack of accelerated gfx under MOL, but usable), and very soon AmigaOS4.
I guess it just comes down to what you want from the machine.
