Short answer: No, it's not possible

Long answer: David Whittaker never released the editor, if there was any (I'd vote for there being a music editor for the format, but with such custom formats you never know...)

Some tricks that could be tried instead:

1. Checking out the assembly replay routines and finding out how the frequency is decoded. Dumping this information to some file with time stamp.

or

2. Recording the tune and dumping it to some audio -> notation tools, perhaps such as Intelliscore.

Sorry if I've missed the point, but if you are talking about the Shadow of the beast intro music, the sound tracker mods are available :)

Thanks for this guys, at least i wont spend ages searching for something thats not there.

Bloodline, i have found the mod files but these do not include the very first piece of music for sotb 1, i think its called intro, versions i have found include 'title' and 'castle' but not 'intro'. happy for you to point me to 'intro' if you know where it is?

thanks rick

shadow of the beast 1 wasnt soundtracker. sotb2 used soundtracker - music was from tim wright in that one.

you might find someone who has "remade" the sotb music in soundtracker, but the original was done by dw.

you can download as mp3/ogg from http://www.modland.com web interface (which you could use to import into some tool to analyse the note data etc as piru mentioned)

mp3: http://modstream.exotica.org.uk/modstream/?md5=bceffa43a87531814b6d08f3aef6eb6e&fm=ogg

you might find someone has already done this due to it being a popular tune, or have done some midi remakes etc.

Apologies! I'm thinking of Tim Wright perhaps :)
