This fellow came to A.org, to share his Amiga experiences on an Amiga related site. He's doing so in a very friendly way, using the place as intended - for Amiga discussion. Many people come to A.org for the wider scope Amiga coverage it offers. I'm one of them that likes the "big picture" aspect of A.org.
Some content may or may not be of interest to everyone - it obviously is of no interest to you, TMHG - just as legacy Amiga stuff is of little interest to me. That's fine. Most people simply don't read threads that don't interest them. That's the adult way of doing things, rather than saying discouraging things like "a bit degrading to the amiga.org forums and its purpose". Please indulge us and give your opinions on what the purpose of A.org is? I always thought it was just a general purpose Amiga site.
If he chooses to give current links to his entirely related to Amiga blog posts rather than post them in their entirety, an individual can - again, choose to simply not read them if they do not interest a person. The discussion is entirely Amiga related, and it's not like he's spamming them as news or announcements. If they don't interest you, don't read them, it's pretty simple and there's no need for disparaging comments.
Yeah, these posts really did "inspire me to write all this", because you are being a selective jerk that is suddenly seemingly incapable of filtering out posts based on your own personal interests. His posts are as topical as anyone elses here, and should they become of little interest to me, guess what - I can choose to simply not read the thread. It's better than making snide comments to a fellow implying he's abusing the place, which he isn't.
It's a lot easier than being a jerk and trying to spin the angle that because something doesn't interest me that it is "degrading" A.org.
I fail to see how content that is of no personal interest to yourself is somehow deemed "degrading" by yourself. Don't read it, maybe? It's a general purpose Amiga forums site, man - relax. No need to start browbeating people's efforts and enthusiasm, or worse yet - making claims of traffic driving via links - because the content is of no interest to you.
Sorry to the OP for derailing the thread, last you'll hear from me on it. I personally am enjoying his writings and will be reading new entries regarding his experiences with his new machine.
