I get something about Amibay getting sucked into a Blackhole, sounds serious! :)

You guys are suckers. Everyone knows the huge virus corporations like AVG are the guys who make the viruses in the first place! They are creating their own demand.

PS Why are their so many Aussies hanging out here lately? It seems that Amiga.org is the new hangout for Aussies Amigans. I'm so scared   :nervous:
Even my cat doesn\'t like me.

I got this:

Clearly cutting the site down to just 1 page of text and and a single JPEG has made it susceptible to attack. Porbably has very little security gumpf put in place when making that page hence the attack...

With all the AmiBay hate here it makes me wonder if there is a possible link.

hmmm...i can't prove it but when i heard Amibay.com was back i tried to log on using both links, everything looked ok and my anti-virus software didnt pick up anything (MS Security Essentials)  however now the PC is running very slow and couple of applications (media player and skype) froze and closed down :(

is MS Sec Essentials good anti-vir software, i used to use Norton360 but we can't afford it now :(

MSSE is pretty top-notch; the authors of AvG recommend it (if you're not going to use their app, that is).

Thanks to the not-so-helpful people at 1&1, when they moved Amibay to a new server (that magically CAN support php, wonders never cease) they write enabled the files that allowed the Blackhole exploit to hit the site again this morning.

Sorry about that, it wasn't directly our fault.

Amibay is all cleaned and protected again now, but we do intend to move to a new server in the near future.

No problem here in AmigaOS, Aros, MorphOS, MacOS, or Linux. I'm surprised people still use Windows, aren't they constantly paranoid that someone else is browsing their hard drive?

If only Amibay would get sucked into a black hole, i'd be thrilled.

You would think that after time and time again of Amiga people hacking this site the moron admins would change their attitude and act like proper human beings instead of spying, internet stalking, PM reading, jerks.

But probably not since they havent changed on bit over the years. The original creator of Amibench should be crying himself to sleep every night that his legacy was carried on by these guys...

yeah, that miniscule 89% of the computing world.  I'd heard a rumor that tiny group of about a billion computer users was still active; I wonder if they have any fansites or anything.

Anyway.

No, I'm not "constantly paranoid" about jack because I run a secure system.

Meanwhile Amigas soldier on with "security through obscurity" as the only defense.

Can I take that as an admission of guilt on your part, Magnetic? Big words on your part, but are you prepared to be big and brave enough to name names too?

Well, my computer is still pretty stuffed. Scanned with Malwarebytes last night, thought it was all good, not so much.
