3com 589 pcmcia card
« on: January 17, 2004, 08:07:29 PM »
anyone have a 3com589 pcmcia card? cause i installed the drivers and the light in the dongle lights up, but the light in the hub doesn't lite up, and miami init doesn't see it (even though that card is rather "famous") and when it asks me to manually enter it i don't know what to type in, is there any way to see if the amiga is registering it? will showconfig tell me?

thanks

This card works perfectly with amitcp 4.0.
I got the driver from aminet. After preforming the  pcmcia fix(also aminet)card reset every thing worked. Finaly i could ping al the computers on my network.
Look for 3c589 on aminet. This card doesn't work with cnet.device

since miami is shareware, and bowl hair cut guy (dat guy who made miami) isn't accepting any more registrations, i'll use samba and miami to get ami tcp over  :-D
