Fixed it, looks like a dodgy solder joint was to blame, im not sure where exactly because I refreshed all the joints on the 2 chips, the 2 banks of resistors and the DB23 connector for good measure! :D

The colours arent as strong as from RGB thru my GBS-8220 but then the guide mentions the colour saturation is an issue with the chip C= used due to differing voltages.

Well done! Another piece of vintage hardware lives on. How well secured is that S-Video socket?

Hmm, looks like I'll have to implement the timing fixes to my 1D4 a1200 mobo - luckily they only involve removing two SMD resistors. :)

The Issue Im having is when I enable MapRom with acaTune I get some really weird crashes and most demo's running under WHDLoad freeze within a few seconds of starting. With mapRom off everything is perfect.

Im going to replace the electrolytic caps at the same time as the timing fixes - hopefully my replacement caps wont take long to come from France. :)

Hmmm, I wonder if anyone can help, trying to get my a1200 online using my NetGear MA401 WiFi card and just not having any luck. Im using this guide:

http://wiki.classicamiga.com/Setting_up_Wireless_Internet_Access_on_A1200

and I've tried both the Prism2 v1.7 and newer Prism2 v2.0 drivers (configuring either is quite simple) but when I run Miami Init and give it the prism2.device, my Link light starts flashing and my a1200 freezes solid, no guru etc, just frozen mouse and flashing Link light for ever and a day. :(

PS, I do have CardPatch & CardReset installed - before I had those installed my WiFi card wasnt recognisable at all.

Check the pcmcia card on an old PC laptop... check if its ok hardware wise before trying to solve it as an Amiga problem.

If its okay...  um, no idea... bugger :)

Today I found two more a1200 mods which I plan to implement once my Cap Kit arrives (plus Timing fix for 1d4 mobo's):

make the FDD a proper Amiga FDD:
http://www.softpres.org/article:hard:modifying_the_pansonic_ju-257a605p_fdd

fix the motherboard so it works with proper Amiga FDD's:
http://www.softpres.org/article:hard:fixing_the_amiga_technologies_a1200_fdd_connector

Hi All, Im selling my a500 8mb fast ram board - topic here:

http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?p=738455#post738455

I've decided to continue souping up my a500, but because im not running whdload, im going to put a 4mb auto-config ram board in instead.

Im also putting in a custom KS1.3 rom (ide support patched in) and a cf-ide adapter so I can install Sierra and Lucas Arts game to HDD and have a nice WB1.3 machine to compliment my WB3.1 equipped a1200.

I bought myself a nice new LG 24" IPS LCD screen for my Mac Mini and moved my Samsung 22" AV LCD over to my a1200 - combined with the SCART-HDMI Converter it produces a really nice 720p@50hz Picture. :)

I also got a SCART-YUV converter which works really well with my Sony LCD TV - I do need another Amiga-SCART cable which is on it's way from AmigaKit - when I get it I'll post some pics of my a500 hooked up. :)

Cool... nothing better than Amiga on LCD screens, so much area to look at and play within!

My old 1960 is in storage atm, was starting to buzz and squeel before I moved house. I guess when I plug it in ... release the magic black smoke!

Its nice to know a product is currently available to give me a nice screen if the above happens :)
