sounds like it came back worse? with the mouse issue.

Wouldn't recommend buying from the new batch, I didn't know there was an issue. Then again for that sort of money there shouldn't be.

Back to waiting, that's the Amiga world for you though :-)

Did you ever get a chance to test it in an other A500?

This is a 2nd motherboard, so I suppose that counts as a 2nd A500? Don't have any other Amiga's sold most of it off and focused on the A500.

Works fine using the s-video adapter.

I say it's the Indivision ECS, same fault yet worse now since getting it back, now I have to have a Denise chip in the Indivision ECS for the mouse to be able to move.

Remove the Indivision ECS and the A500 is very stable, can't fault it. So big finger pointing back to the Indivision ECS.

Wish I bought from the first batch :-)

You using it without denise? You have to have denise installed.
Only the A600 doesnt need denise.

So the mouse is not working, even with denise installed?
As far as I remember it needs denise for certain things on everything except the A600.

No as posted works fine with the denise installed.

Anyway I have purchased a standard A500 revision 6A board, just waiting for it to turn up so we'll see how that goes :-)

Have a very wavy picture and horizontal lines running up the screen. Occasionally a pink flash.

If I connect the Amiga 500 plus back up with the s-video it's fine.

I have removed the Indivision and checked all the pins, have checked the riser card.

Have pushed it in as far as I can get it to go and appears to have no gaps, the pins are all where they are supposed to be, have installed the ground cable.

Have tried without the ECS Denise. The Amiga 500 plus is a full ECS machine so can't see any issue there.

Have stripped it down to just the motherboard and the indivsion connected and still the same thing.

Installed the Indivision config tool as I have a funny jagged missing gap at the bottom which is apparently normal on some monitors.  Still same problem.

Have googled around and found one guy having the same issues and I got the impression he pushed it so hard the board bent to try and get it to work.

Not sure what else to try :-/ The most money I've spent on an Amiga LOL :-)
]

A few years ago I bought the Indivision ECS and I had major troubles.  I could not get the damn thing to work to save my life.  My mouse wouldn't work correctly, icons were distorted and other strange things were happening.  In fact I was about to sell it on ebay just to recoup back some of my money.

Solution:  I realized the thing was not seated all the way.  Initially I tried and tried to seat it as far as I could but the problem was still there.  Finally, I said thats it!!!  I lined the pins up pushed the chip hard as hell until it slid into place. Check out this thread I started a few years ago regarding the problem I was having.  Hope it helps.

Same exact problem here.  Push until the MB flexes, going against all that you think is right, and it finally snapped into place.  All is well now.

Don't really have the mouse problem as described in the other thread. Have horizontal thin black lines, the entire screen will flash and the picture wobbles for want of a better word.

The indi can't be pushed much further, all the pins appear to be in and the Denise is flush with the top of the indi, well as far as it can go in.

So looks like a clash between the Amiga 500 plus and the Indivision ECS. So waiting for Jen's and Amigakit to sort out whats happening there.

In the meantime the Rev 6A board I thought I had bought fell through so going to have a nose on ebay/amibay.

Well after a long wait (like most things in Amiga land) I received a 6a board.

Installed the board, the splash screen is still shaky so was worried. However once into workbench it shaked but almost unnoticeable. 99% good on the picture.

1) Don't buy an Indivision ECS from the new batch if your have an Amiga 500 plus/+

2) A non plus Amiga 500 is not going to work with WHDLoad, nowhere near the 1MB available chip RAM to play any games.

3) Still waiting on an Amiga 500 plus fix.

4) The indivision ECS still doesn't give you a 100% good picture. But is a step up from what I had previous with a svideo to vga adapter.

A little hard to see the jelly (jello) wobbly screen and the entire screen flashing green really quickly.

Can see the lines and flicking and tearing :-)

Just got my Indivision ECS from Amigakit and I can see very similar artifacts.  I installed it on a A500 rev8 board, no other extensions.

I read in other forums that is could be related to the PSU - I use the original PSU. Would it be a good idea to try a different one? (will require taking apart the current one + soldering from a PC PSU, so I am not really looking forward to it :) ).

Any hope for a fix?

Thanks!

Would check with Amigakit, it may need another fix done to it if it's a A500plus/Rev8 board. My indi is back with them at the moment hopefully getting the second fix done.

I opened a ticket -- it seems mine is missing the second fix as well (bad luck apparently, it was supposed to be done). Let's hope it will work - I am looking forward to the perfect picture :)
