Ultima question
« on: June 08, 2012, 06:18:48 AM »
Just booted up Ultima 3 since I always wanted to check out the old ones, but I noticed that it runs rather fast, even on an 030. I tried a dos version instead, with dosbox on the PC, and that seems to run at a more reasonable speed, however, the pseudo-real time bugs me. Basically if you take more than a few seconds to do something, the game passes a turn.

Are all the amiga era ultima games (3 through 6) like this?

Ultima 4 runs as I remember it running on a C128 on my 040.  Perhaps its a WHDLoad setting?

Ultima 3 should be configured for Lowest setting in order to emulate an A500 Configuration.
