What is the Ebay value of...?

Having recently entered the world of joblessness, I feel I must begin to part with a few things that I am currently not using.

I know it is a bit evil to post items on Ebay (where they generally sell for more) rather than offer to them to the community directly through Amibay, but I'm hard up atm.

What I a wondering is what the Ebay value of an A2000 case with power, CD-ROM, and two floppy drives might be. The 2000 itself has been extracted due to the fact that it died because of battery damage.

I also have an 8MB Memory board, as well as a SCSI card for Hard Drives.

Any ideas?

due to the case weight, you're likely better off selling the bits and dumping the actual case :/

Case could be valuable for casemodders.
Grab some PC parts and use your recently acquired free time to mount a pc. Maybe even a cheap hackintosh...

Actually, if there was some MorphOS hardware I could squeeze inside there, then I wouldn't feel so dirty. :)

Excellent idea! Maybe there is a way to tower my macmini into an existing Amiga case. At least then i can pretend i'm using an Amiga and not an Apple.

I think that's perfectly doable and maybe the easiest casemod ever. Probably you can fit the mini entirely inside the A2000 case. Keyboard & Mouse Wireless USB and... voilá!

This is one of the problems with people checking prices on ebay. That (and MANY other sales) are what the sellers are asking - NOT WHAT IT SOLD IT FOR! That price means nothing! Look at what things actually sell for to get a real idea. No wonder you all complain about ebay.

IMO, case, PSU with floppies, CDROM ~ $50 (plus shipping)
Memory board with 8MB ~ $40
SCSI card (no memory) ~ $20

I'd say the SCSI card is worth double that. (If its in us dollars that is)

But the bottom line is with an auction, its only what people are willing to pay. Many people have the illusion that items go for high prices all the time when the reality is that sometimes it goes for less than thought. It all depends. Every auction is different. Sometimes you get guys that just want the item as they have been looking for it for years and they go into a bid war. (happened to me when I got in a bidding war for a Live! 2000 board years ago!)

I was merely thinking about shipping cost.

And housing a Mac Mini inside.. brilliant idea ! not even a need to remove anything at all :)
