Aminet Warning
« on: May 25, 2012, 09:05:04 AM »
Just searched for Aminet on google and there was a message saying "This site may be compromised"

Anyone know anything about that?

I would recommend putting your x86 in the bin.  Virus gone.

(Sorry, couldn't resist)

Seriously though, without more details there's not much anyone can do to assist.  There are a lot of good forums out there with people on hand to help you identify exactly what is going on.  They recommend tools to download and run and then examine the reports for clues.

It's way above my ability.

Not familiar with that one specifically (my AV caught it), but I've had good luck in the past with MalwareBytes AntiMalware.

Assuming the situation has been cleared now the Aminet administrators should follow the step 4 of the instructions to clear the message.
