Hi all,
A few weeks ago I managed to stumble across a non working Amiga 1000, and decided to buy it for spare parts. I got it home, opened up the case - expecting to find the usual
daughterboard install, but for my surprise I was greeted by a Rejuvenator board!!
It didn't take too long to figure out why the machine is none functional, the board has a battery on board, which of course, leaked and caused damage to the PCB. I'm not too
concerned about the the traces in this location, they are few and far apart, so it shouldn't be a problem running bypass wires to compensate for the corroded traces.
However, there's also a damaged/corroded 6pin (through the board) connector, which the original daughterboard was connected to, and now provides power to the
Rejuvenator board.
My question is, where can I find a replacement connector? Are these type of connectors still made, or are the ancient history? Would someone have a spare daugherboard they
would be willing to sell for parts? I've included a few pictures below, which show the damage area, including the connector.
