what exactly does...
« on: January 13, 2004, 08:44:15 PM »
Well I know what a scandoubler & flicker fixer does, but does it allow a standard 30kHz VGA  monitor be able to display Amiga games and demos from the demo scene?

I thought you said you knew what a scandoubler and flicker fixer do... The answer's yes, IIRC.

I'll take that back, you don't know  :-P
Yes, that is exactly what a FF/SD is for, but you may run in trouble with some VGAs
(mainly big CRTs and LCDs) not being able to sync anything under 60Hz, making
PAL an non-option :-(
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

As for PAL, yeah I know... so far I know the Sony GVM-1311Q monitor  syncs to NTSC and PAL modes. :-D
