Why the price drop?
Earth has a lot of things other folks might want... like the whole planet. And maybe these folks would like a few changes made, like more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and room for their way of life. - William S. Burroughs

Awesome product and nice promo.
Whoever thinks about getting one, it's time to get one before stock ends, and then you start shouting why Jens isn't creating more! Typical scenario :P

Cheers AmigaKit

We shouldn't be beholden to Jens' whim on whether more get made.  How about he makes an amount on every piece of hardware he designs and lets someone else handle the production?

Apparently it seems you have a great idea about production costs :)

Make a proposal to Jens then so we can have tonz of hardware on our disposal and never have to worry about end-of-line products!

Maybe there is a new version coming out within the next few months and they want to get rid of remaining stock of this version?

Or maybe Jens has found a way to lower production costs?

Who knows?  Just take advantage of the sale and be happy.  It is a nice product.   I have a few of them and AmigaKit is a great Amiga dealer.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

I am pretty sure Jens knows of this, considering he is actually in the business of making things and I am in the "boo hoo, I didn't have the 160 bucks when they were still at vesalia and amigakit so I'm boned" camp.  I would just prefer he got something of 160 bucks as opposed to none of the 300-500 that Denebs and Indivision 4000/1200s go for on fleabay, amibay, and other places.

Not everyone has disposable income when these things are available.  A large part of keeping the original amigas alive and kicking would be easy availability of (at this point) required hardware that doesn't have to be bought at huge markup from private hands.
