They forgot to add the blurb about destroying it if it doesn't sell.

What's funny is those have been selling at crazy prices, and every time they sell the price gets jacked up just a little bit more!

edit: well, maybe it only got jacked up once.

Damn, I've always wanted one of them, but not at that price!

Still, if you want to keep laughing then check out his other items:

CBM 1571 floppy drive for $500 (I have one of them next to me!)
or you can have the bare PCB with no drive mechanism or case for $265!
What about a CBM CN2 cassette deck for $130 (I have one of them too!)

Great stuff.  :)

Looks like it's in fantastic condition, I best get my bid in quick and hope I don't get sniped.
Then again I could buy a C one and keep the change.
Hmmm... ..maybe I'll let someone else snap up this bargain.

Yeah, I have to admit it's in beautiful condition... but good God...  I could spend that money on a really nice i7 system and run Dice, and still have change for Taco Bell.  For months.

I suppose as long as there are people prepared to pay these crazy prices for old hardware then the prices are going to remain at this sort of level... some people have more cash than they know what to do with methinks :/
"We will keep one for nostalgic reason and will not sell it at any price.".... sure, if that one goes for $2500 then Im sure it wont be long in following lol

To top it off, they say they have sold 3 128D machines (at this price?) in recent days. I might believe there's one fool out there with more money than brains, but three of them? I not so sure....

It's been in the box brand new for 20 years, yet they don't include the box, manuals, etc. I wonder how much those cost extra...
